Poetry by Nancy Kay Peterson
Hold the door open
and honor “Ladies First.”
Pull out the chair
when she seeks a seat.
Walk on the street side
to shelter her from splashes.
Stand up when she enters
or leaves a room.
Lend her your arm
when the going gets rough.
Don’t leave bruises
that have to be explained.
