Poetry by Rebecca Nacy

harvest hues hugging
pointed rows of houses,
horizon decorated with
shimmering skyscrapers.

roasted reds and golden grasses
settled to support sparkling shorelines.

sky and sea
separated
by soft stratospheric spectacles.
scene only visible through satellite-sight

rows of grey ovals closed shut,
darkness stales the cabin still.
airborne sleepers snore,
as windows and wings watch.
